日本・スウェーデン出身。イギリスでの生活を経て日本へ移住。
オルタナティヴを基盤にした無国籍な都市の日常を切り取るシンガーソングライター。その文学的、実験的な作風は、各都市で生活してきたVISITORとしての視点に溢れている。
ソロとして、2018年、身体から湧き上がるメタル、グランジ、カントリーなどの音楽要素を自身のバンド、LEO IMAI (LEO今井 岡村夏彦 シゲクニ 白根賢一)で体現した5枚目のアルバム『VLP』を発表。2019年、eastern youth、ZAZEN BOYS、人間椅子、ペトロールズ、前野健太、呂布カルマらの原曲をカバーすることで、独自のヘヴィネスさを追求したカバーEP『6 Japanese Covers』を発表。

また、ソロ活動以外に、KIMONOS、METAFIVEの他、2022年春よりTESTSETのメンバーとして活動中。
他に作曲（劇伴含む）/作詞家・翻訳作詞家（日本語/英語/スウェーデン語）としても活躍している。

Alternative singer-songwriter from Japan & Sweden.
Based in UK→Japan.

In addition to his solo works, he is a member of the group Kimonos,
formed in 2010 with Mukai Shutoku of Zazen Boys.

He is also a member of the band Metafive, formed in 2015 with
Yukihiro Takahashi, Keigo Oyamada, Yoshinori Sunahara, Towa Tei, and Tomohiko Gondo.

As of 2022, he has also been playing in the group TESTSET, formed with Metafive band mate Yoshinori Sunahara.

Alongside his own projects, he continues to contribute a wide range of music and text to various other artists.
